RBMA Results.
Long story short. I didn't get in. Needless to say, it hurt(s) bad. I don't know that I'll apply again. We'll see.

Dear ______,
It's never easy, but it's always inspiring. The Academy jury has spent a whole lot of nights carefully listening to demos over and over again, and has now reached a decision.
We're very sorry to let you know that you have not been selected to take part in the Academy this year. This in no way means that your tunes and answers did not stand out! The number of great applications outnumbered the 60 music makers we are able to invite - even more so than in previous years. We received applications from 85 countries, including, for the first time, applications from Angola, Ghana, Qatar, South Korea and Kyrgyzstan. The challenge for the jury was to find a special mix of music makers and DJs with different skill sets, backgrounds, characters and levels of experience. Inevitably, this meant that some very impressive artists had to be turned down.
Please be secure in the knowledge that the jury did not choose participants based on factors like age, number of friends in high places, or love of tight jeans. We definitely hope that we'll have a chance to hear more about your musical activities: it was amazing to read about what you are contributing to your local scene, and hear the bass lines underneath the soundtracks of your lives.
We are sure you will keep fighting the good fight, and continue to find the inspiration in those unexpected places. And if you are willing to do us the honour once more, apply again next year. The final group for 2010 includes some applicants who've applied more than a few times in previous years - all the while following their musical instincts and exploring new ideas.
Many thanks for the time that you invested in your application, and for sharing your music with us.
So much respect,
Your Academy Team
